In the Beginning

I have decided to blog about my experience of living by faith. I know that may sound crazy to you but it is what I have been learning the past few years and I need to write about it every day in order to do two things. First, I need to write everyday in order to be a writer. Second it might help someone besides me to hear about the joys of living by faith and some of the many trials.
Who am I ? I am a North American, Mainline, Liberal Protestant, Presbyterian by choice and by heritage. I am a woman, I am ordained as a minister of word and sacrament or what is called a teaching elder. I live in Chautauqua New York and there are only 4 Presbyteriann churches in Chautauqua County. I worship most Sundays with the Wright Memorial Presbyterian on the Cattaragus Territory of the Seneca Nation of Indians. We usually have 6 people in worship.
I hope to say more about each of these aspects of my life as I go along but now I am writing mostly just to write and to get started. I have been unemployed by an organization since August 15, 2010 or April 15, 2011 depending on how you count my severance from the Presbytery of Western New York.  One of my great spiritual journeys is about money - having enough when I need it, wanting to give more of it away if I had it, wanitng to be able to do as I feel I have been called without worrying about it. This might be called a money blog and that may be the basic subject of many of the postings because that is where my learning curve of faith is right now.  I hope that this blog is more interesting in the future - yes it would be nice to have a book out of it and a national following and all that but right now the point is to help me live day by day, knowing that my daily bread, my daily needs are met.
So here it is  - the first of the new blog.
